Vape Ban Approved By CRC Committee In Florida, Advances To Full Commission

A proposal (Proposal 65) that would ban the use of electronic cigarettes anywhere that smoking is already prohibited has advanced to the full Constitution Revision Commission in Florida.

CRC Commissioner Lisa Carlton spearheaded the proposal, which would alter the state’s constitution to include vaping in Florida’s existing smoking bans. Exemptions would still exist for bars and hotels, according to WFSU News.

If Carlton’s proposal passes the full Constitution Revision Commission, voter approval would still be needed in order for the proposal to be implemented, WFSU News also reports.
